The development consists of 35 houses off a new access road, and the renovation and extension of the Fox and Hounds Public House in Charlton Adam.
Consultations with local councillors and local residents conducted over some months informed many aspects of the development proposals including the number of units, house type sizes, site layout and external appearance.
The design concept was to create a development which has a contemporary appearance and ‘of this day’ whilst being sympathetic to the local character and architectural vernacular.
The existing Fox and Hounds Public House is a valued community facility and will be upgraded with a new entrance and conservatory, and a large multi-purpose space on the north side of the existing Skittle Alley to increase overall floor area. New landscape will enhance the setting of the pub and improve external entertainment areas.
