Stortford Fields, Bishop’s Stortford
Client: Fairfield Partnership
148 houses and flats on five parcels of land in a new 2200 unit neighbourhood for The Fairfield Partnership which formed part of a development consortium also including Bovis, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon and Kier.
Stride Treglown Tektus was master planner and lead architect with each developer engaging its own architect to prepare detailed proposals according to a Design Brief agreed with East Herts District Council.
Units ranging between one bedroom apartments and five bedroom houses totalled 257,000ft².
During the design process, an additional parcel of land no longer needed for a Park and Ride facility was awarded to The Fairfield Partnership so a consistent architectural statement could be designed for a gateway feature on both sides of the new boulevard off Hadham Road.
The planning application was approved in April 2015 and construction is under way.
